Equality in the workplace

Share:
We act and offer advice in the field of equal rights at work.

What should I do to avoid discriminating situations in the workplace? How do I recognise and deal with indirect discrimination? What action should I take in cases of bullying or harassment? What advantages do diversity management strategies and equality plans offer my business?

The introduction of equality legislation has removed many inequalities related to age, gender, sexual orientation, origin, religion or disability within the workplace. Many investigations have also proven that treating people equally is essential if a business organisation is to be effective and productive. Diverse teams are more creative, productive and effective. Nevertheless, discrimination is still very common in the workplace.

We offer legal advice and information on the general framework for equal treatment in employment and occupations, the prevention of direct and indirect discrimination, bullying, repression and harassment as forms of discrimination.

We prepare diversity management strategies and corporate equality plans as provided under Spanish law. Equality plans are obligatory for businesses with over 250 employees. Smaller companies are encouraged to implement such plans.
